Services Provided

Providing a range of counselling theories to work with clients, these include CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness, as well as a person-centred approach. I work with children from ages 11, and all other ages, including older clients, couples and I am also a counselling supervisor.

Offering support with a variety of presenting issues, including:-

  • Stress (day-to-day, workplace, & relationship)

  • Anxiety – providing an understanding of what is anxiety & strategies for managing anxiety & panic

  • Depression – Working with feelings of having little or no interest or enjoyment in life

  • Bereavement – How to make sense of your feelings following a passing of a loved one

  • Loss – learn how to adapt to life following loss

  • Low Self-esteem – exploring reasons for low self-esteem & low self-worth, challenging thinking about this and where this comes from.

  • Confidence – what is confidence, building self-belief and being yourself

  • Relationship problems /breakdown – both individuals & couples working collaboratively to explore challenges and improve communication & intimacy

  • Bullying – developing strategies for managing emotions around bullying

  • Low mood – life events leading to low mood, exploring options for improved mood.

  • Work-life balance – recognising when work & life balance is out of kilter and developing strategies for change, working smarter and not harder

  • Trauma – Including complex trauma & PTSD – gentle exploration, moving forward and dealing with memories

  • Abuse – whether this is past or present, I provide a safe space to talk about the abuse, seek avenues for support and what happens after abuse.

  • Worry & rumination, Career Counselling, Overthinking & catastrophising, Menopause and Insomnia.

I tailor therapy to suit the client’s needs and where required can signpost for other helpful interventions.

Being a recognised member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) I follow their standards of practice and ethical framework in order to keep clients safe, meaning I do not tell you what to do, or give advice, but provide space & time to explore helpful coping strategies, which can be incorporated to enable the client to find meaning & coping, establishing a true sense of self. Facilitating clients to find their own path, trust in themselves, their ideas and set & achieve their own future personal goals & growth.
